12 inning effort

The Astros took on the Washington Nationals for the first time this season at Minute Maid Park. The game went into the 12th inning before the Astros pulled away with th 5-4 win. Local product John Patterson started for the Nationals. It was certainly not the outting a pitcher would like. Patterson gave up two homeruns, one to Lance Berkman and another to Preston Wilson. Heres a few shots for todays game.

Opening Day

Well its baseball season and Astros fans have waited all winter for Opening Day. For the first time in 15 years Jeff Bagwell was not the starting first baseman. Bagwell starts the season on the 15-day disabled list. He is unsure if he will ever play again. Opening Day may have been the last time Bagwell will be seen in an Astros uniform.
